The alkaline wash technique is an extremely effective hair removal option for the removal of fine, downy hair and can be an effective option when used in conjunction with IPL, Pain Free laser and electrolysis.
How does it work?
The alkaline wash technique is a pain-free, non invasive treatment. It is especially useful when removing large areas of finer, lighter hair.
The alkaline wash is an alkaline paste which is applied directly to the skin for several minutes. The paste dissolves the hair and part of the hair follicle. Over time, the hair regrowth is stunted often resulting in permanent hair loss.
This treatment is particularly suited to a transgender client with large areas of lighter, finer hair. It works as a fantastic aid alongside other forms of hair removal.
